It seems the problem is related to removing all modern (UWP) apps using PowerShell method in Windows 10 newer versions. Users are unable to access Start Menu and Taskbar icons. Most of the times this issue occurs after installing new updates via Windows Update or after upgrading to a new Windows 10 version. When you sign in again, the problem still persists and the error message again appears when you click on Start button. When you click on “Sign out now” button, it logs off and shows login screen. We’ll try to fix it the next time you sign in. I have not installed anything on 10/28 (that I know of or with my consent), prior to issue occurring today.Your Start menu isn’t working. Both reached a problem around 38% or so and could not continue. However, after IRS update on 10/27, was able to boot up several times on 10/28 successfully prior to issue.Ĥ) Tried resetting PC with files intact and without. If I hover the mouse pointer long enough, if i'm lucky, i get a notification from windows that my display driver failed to start and revert to using microsoft basic display driver. When i hover the mouse pointer over an active/open task bar icon of the program such as this:, my screen flickers. The icons still work, however they are blank save for microsoft edge. Starting October 29, upon login, the task bar icons appear blank as seen here.
